Clare is the centerpiece of the entertainment in this house. Me? I spent a good amount of time with newborns, babies and kids – but normally in 2 hour increments of a photography session. I commented how I could do away with my favorite TV* shows if I had her sparkly blue eyes and infectious chubby cheeked smile to look at.

*TV – even my favorite Bravo-lebrities and Thursday night sitcoms. ::gasp::

In between cute Clare moments, I stole little shots of the other two kids. They have a little sparkle in their eyes too.

Before I met him, I’d heard that he was been recently diagnosed with terminal cancer and I didn’t expect that I’d need running sneakers to keep up with him. Well he proved me wrong.

We all could learn a thing or two from Mason. He’d never turn down the opportunity to run down a tennis ball and doesn’t care much about what tomorrow holds because he’s too busy enjoying himself now.

This is one of my favorite grabs from a wedding I second shot with Anna Sawin back in July. Since last year we’ve shot many weddings together. It’s a ton of fun to come along on someone’s wedding and photograph all the little moments in between. Anna’s going to get all the major stuff but I get to be the one that comes in adds a second perspective or maybe I’m a gopher and just running to the car to grab something. Whatever it is, it’s a fun way to spend a day.

“Keeping it in the Family” – so our photographer relationship was born over Easters and Thanksgivings while I was still at Hallmark Institute of Photography. She is my fiance’s cousin’s wife. Got that? So holidays, more and more, are spent chatting about our photog lives.

Earlier this week I introduced you all to my in-house, go-to second shooter Ben and I’m lucky to have a relationship with Anna. She’s based in the Connecticut area so our businesses continue to blossom without treading on the other’s territory.

AND now that I’m a wedding planning bride to be, I didn’t have a hard time looking for a photographer. Of course I recruited Anna. I will keep you all posted on that process and the rest of the vendors that become a part of my ’11 wedding.

Location, Location, Location!!!

Saltwater Farm Vineyard was just a gorgeous location for their reception. I hung out around the main facility with my camera and tripod getting some long exposure shots once the sun went down.

I’m thrilled to give you an inside peek into what it is they do exactly.

Now they were all ready when I arrived, 45 minutes before the limo was leaving. There wasn’t much left to do but document the calm and cool, collected bunch. Playing dice games, taking shots, drinking Miller Lite, texting last-minute messages, etc…

I did have the Best Man do a photo-op, tie adjustment.

The Mother of the Groom rounded out the bunch.

(Like my Mom) She covers nearly every inch of wall & shelf space with family photos.
